First Day of Big Boy School!!!

Today was Nolan's first day in the toddler room at school.  It doesn't seem like it has been a year since he started daycare.  I really love his school and teachers!  They are really amazing with him!  I think he loves it too! This is from the first day of school last year.  What a difference a year makes...

We started off the day with breakfast with Daddy...

and then headed to school with our new backpack.

For those that were concerned about Nolan getting beat up in his red hat from the beach, here is his new hat for school... better???

We also did some first day of school snacks for his teachers...

He is growing up so fast!

A "Hear"oic Adventure!!!

Nolan made his second appearance at Cochlear Implant Camp last week.  It was really fun to get to see him interact with some of my patients.  They were very interested in him!  He gave lots of high fives and had a great time!

Jonathan's Family Vacay

Each summer Jonathan's family spends the week together at the beach.  It was great for Nolan to get to play with all of the other grandchildren.  Although I am pretty sure he has no idea they are all older than him!  Yes, he is the kid with the dorky hat and shirt!

Do Not Feed Me Again!!!

I had really hoped that getting tubes would help with Nolan's ridiculous number of ear infections.  They have definitely gotten better and we have been able to cut down on this...

...but he has still had 4 ear infections over the last few months.  We went and saw his ENT again last week and have scheduled a new set of tubes, an adenoidectomy, and blood work up.  Luckily we were able to schedule his surgery pretty quickly, so hopefully we can get him feeling better soon!

Fortunately I still have that awesome shirt I made Nolan for his last surgery!!!

Winning Over Bailey...

This weekend we had one of my best friends Holly and her little girl Bailey in town from Shreveport.  It was so much fun to see the kids play together.  They are alomost exactly one year apart.  Bailey wasn't feeling too well so I had to work really hard to win her over....

I tried coloring...

I tried bath toys...

I tried Rock Band...

I tried Monkey Pancakes...

I tried Cupcakes...

I tried the Children's Museum...

Who would have known that the way to a little girl's heart was milking a cow???

We had so much fun and can't wait for them to come back!

Book Club Fun

This friday was our second Mommy and Me Book Club!  It was so much fun and we got to hang out with some really fun Mommies and their little ones.  Our book this month was The Very Hungry Caterpillar.  We had lots of food that the Caterpillar ate.... fruit, sausage, cheese, pickles, cake (cupcakes anyway)!  We also had a couple of art projects.  They may have gotten a little messy!  It was so much fun and we love being with our friends!!!

Playdough Fun

The weather is going to be pretty yucky this weekend, so we are looking for lots of fun 4th of July indoor activities.  I did make Nolan some playdough tonight for the first time to keep him busy while I was cooking dinner.  He had a great time and made less of a mess than I anticipated. Always a plus!!!
