Something Fun!

It has been a wild couple of weeks for our family!  It started off with me falling outside and now I am wearing a boot for the next 3 weeks.  Then due to an air conditioner issue we had water pouring onto our new wood floor and then limited air for the next few days.  Jonathan has been saving on dry cleaning because he has been working through the night and into the next day. Then yesterday on my way to pick up Nolan I got hit by a beer truck!  I spent 2 hrs talking to some very nice paramedics (they were also involved in the wreck) while they pretty much shut down the tollway cleaning up all the cars.  So this morning when we went to get Nolan and Jonathan's hair cut I decided we needed something fun!  Since Jonathan said no to the full on Mohawk we went with this...

I think he looks pretty cute!

Update...

Potty training has been going really well!  Nolan has done a really great job and even though I am currently carrying around a portable potty seat in my bag it is way less gross than diapers!  Tonight I was sitting at the table doing some work and Nolan came up to me, pulled on the back of my pants, and said "no poop, mommy!"  I about fell out of my chair laughing... he started laughing as well... I am not sure he knew why we were laughing as he was dead serious with his diaper check!

We have also moved to the big boy bed.  It has gone ok...  every night we go through a serious of demands requests, milk, potty, night night (blanket), and the finally water.  He then finally will settle down.  We read a few books, talk about his day, and sing a few songs.  He always wants me to lay with him.  I try to make sure I leave while he is still awake, but he is so sweet when he snuggles up to you and it is getting more clear everyday that he isn't a baby any longer!

Swim Lessons

Nolan started swim lessons for the summer.  I was a little nervous at first because he hates getting his face wet in the bath.  He did great!  I think it helped that our sweet friend Will is in the same class.  Nolan had a great time and has been talking about it all week.

Don't laugh at his outfit... double swim diapers are required in the water babies class.

Lots of time to blog...

You may have noticed that we have had very few posts lately... things have been a little crazy.  Now it look like I should have a little more time for blogging... as I can't get around without my crutches!  We ended up at the ER last night after I fell outside.  It is not broken, but hurts like crazy!  The ER doctor said if it doesn't start feeling better after a week that I will need a MRI.  Good times!

Potty Champ!!!

We started potty training last week and I will have to say (knock on wood) that things have gone really well.  Nolan has been a champ!  He has had very few accidents and is getting much better at telling us when he needs to go!  There was one unfortunate accident with one of Jonathan's shoes.... but now maybe he will remember to put his shoes up!

Cars 2 here we come!

Nolan loves Cars and has been super excited every time we have seen a preview for Cars 2!  We really want to make it a fun trip when we go see it at the theater, so we decided that we better give the movie theater a preview before the big day.  We took him to see Rio and he loved it!  I was a little concerned in the beginning when they showed a Cars preview... and he loudly repeated.... "I watch Cars!  I watch Cars, Mommy!!!"  I was worried he would freak out if we didn't see Cars, but he settled in just fine!

I am also thinking we will definitely need these to complete our Summer of Cars!

Go Rangers!!!

We have had such a busy school year that we are really excited about some fun this summer!  We took Nolan to his first Rangers game of the summer and he loved it!  Hot dogs, ice cream, french fries, peanuts, and baseball... whats not to love?
