All Boy

It's funny how little boys never have to be shown how to be a little boy. We were playing outside with a bubble stick and Nolan decided it would be more fun to take the stick and start digging in the dirt. Let's just say we were in definite need of a bath tonight!

Milestones

I waited...

and waited....

and hoped....

and wondered....

what Nolan's first word would be...

and now I am happy to report....

that...

it...

is...

MAMA!!!!!

I couldn't be happier! I will say just in case you thought I might be making something out of nothing that I have had several people confirm it!

Love you sweet boy!!!

Nolan's Baptism

This past weekend we celebrated Nolan's baptism at First United Methodist Church of Dallas. A lot of our family was able to join us and make this a really special day. Aunt Veazey served as God-Mother and Uncle Kyle and Aunt Kristi came in from Austin and Aunt Laura from Houston. Nolan did pretty well during the ceremony, but did have a meltdown in the nursery afterwards. I guess we are going to have to work on that! Here are some pics from the weekend...

DO NOT FEED ME!!!

So after our appointment on friday with Dr. Lee we scheduled Nolan's surgery for April 20th.... and then they called yesterday. The scheduler (who I am pretty sure thought I was nuts) called and let me know that an implant surgery had been canceled and wanted to know if we wanted to come in today. My first response was "who's surgery was cancelled???". After getting everything sorted out we took the date. Since it was such short notice I had to do some juggling of patients. Thankfully Shari and Michelle offered to help me out! Thanks guys! I still needed to come in to see one patient first thing in the morning. Nolan was only able to eat until 7:00 AM in the morning. So we got up early and had some banana pancakes. Very tasty! We then had to go to school for a little while so I could see a patient. I took one of Nolan's white shirts and wrote "Do Not Feed Me" on it. I have to admit he did look like he belonged at the zoo!

Everyone was really great at Children's and very friendly! Dr. Lee was running a bit behind so we hung out in his room and played. Luckly we came prepared with toys and books.

Don't I look cute in my hospital gown!

They even had a car for me to play in while I waited! Loved it!!!

Everything went really well during surgery! Dr. Lee came out after about 10 minutes and said he did great. He was REALLY cranky after surgery! But once we got out to the car he was much better. We got home had some grapes and goldfish and off to bed! Hopefully no more ear infections!

Tube Time!

Finally after five ear infections and six rounds of antibiotics Nolan is getting PE tubes! We went on friday to see his ENT and audiologist Laurie! Nolan was excited to see Laurie and did pretty well considering about 8 different people looked in his ears. I am not sure that he was Laurie's best patient of the day but probably the cutest!

Handsome Irish Boy or Annoying Baby Throwing a Fit at the Table Next to You???

I was so excited to get to post some cute St. Patrick's Day pictures of my favorite little leprechaun on his first St. Patrick's Day. I love all holidays and love celebrating them! Nolan was not as excited about his hat as I was...

We decided to take Nolan out for crawfish to celerate his first St. Patrick's Day!

And that was when "the annoying baby throwing a fit at the table next to you" came out....

so I thought I might as well post these pics as well!!! Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

Parent - Teacher Conference

So today was Nolan's second Parent - Teacher conference of the year. After the first one I was very concerned about his "Pincer Grasp" for weeks! All we did was practice picking up Puffs! Today's conference went pretty well, considering Nolan was pushing another baby down on the steps of the slide while we were talking. I am very thankful for such great teachers! Nolan loves school and seeing his friends and teachers. Here are some pics from his first few weeks of school.
