It was a beautiful weekend here and we spent as much of it as possible outside! We also did a little painting! Nolan had a blast using a fly swatter to paint. It made a huge mess, but he loved every minute of it!

Sweet Eden
All day today I have been thinking of one of my friends that will travel to Ethiopia tomorrow to meet her daughter for the first time. Like all mom's she has been preparing for monthes. She has put together a beautiful nursery, washed and folded sweet little onesies, and stocked up on every baby gadget known. The difference for her is that a few days after she meets her daughter she has to leave her and wait an unknown length of time to see her again. I can't imagine all of the different emotions she will go through over the next few months. She is one of the strongest people I know. That sweet little girl has no idea what a great mom she is about to get! I can't wait to meet her and celebrate all your new joy! Safe travels and we love you!

My Funny Valentine
Our Valentine's Day started out a little rough. Nolan decided that he didn't want to go to sleep until 11:00 last night and then woke up several time throughout the night. Daddy stayed home to eat breakfast with us and then headed to work. We started to get ready for a Valentine's party until we realized that Daddy seemed to have lost my keys and taken the spare. Nolan walked around the house saying "Where mommy keys.... party".
We didn't make it to the party, but we had a fun day just the two of us! I tried to make it extra special so we had heart shaped everything, he wore his new cars PJs, ate chocolate covered craisens, read Valentine's books, and watched Cars. For dinner he had spaghetti and ate it Lady and the Tramp style...
If you are wondering why he is eating shirtless you have obviously never seen my son eat spaghetti! Happy Valentine's Day!

What a weekend!
We had quite a weekend! It was full of a valentine's day party, grandparents, and 2 birthday parties! Nolan was pooped by the end, but he had a terrific time!
His school party was on Friday. He brought Gerber daisies to each of his teachers. He was so excited and cute when he walked in with them and told each of the teachers "Happy Day!". His class valentine's were shovels with cookies that said "I Dig You!"
Nolan had a blast handing out his valentine's and eating his snacks!
He was also invited to two birthday parties on Saturday. The first was for his friend Will, who had an adorable monkey party. Nolan devoured a monkey cupcake and about a million goldfish. He also got to make his own monkey and decorate a shirt for him. Will's mom put together quite a party!
Next we headed tohis friend Savannah's Sesame Street birthday. They had all sorts of fun activites. There was a balloon artist and a guy doing caricatures, but Nolan paid them no attention. He dropped her present at the door as soon as he saw a bounce house filled with balloons and balls. He had the best time boucing and jumping and pummeling small children. I am pretty sure they were happy to see us leave!
It was a great weekend! Happy Birthday Will and Savannah!

Sensory Box
Nolan loves playing in his sensory box. I try to add different things to it for each season, but cups and shovels always end up being the most fun!

More Snow Day Fun...
We are happy to be spending another snow day at home! Fun breakfasts are a big part of our mornings at home. This morning Nolan had one of my all time favorite breakfasts... pancake people!
We are starting to run out of activities (and holidays), but had fun making valentines, playing with legos, making pizza, and doing a little cleaning. Please ignore the fact he is still in his PJ's, especially since they are Christmas pajamas!
Please Note: Unlike the bacon in the top picture the pizza is not burnt, I mixed the tomato sauce with some spinach.
Someone was pretty proud of himself and the very tall lego tower he made all by himself.
Helping mommy clean the boot prints off the floor! Fireman hat added bonus!
