1.2.3.4...6.7.8.9.10

I have been meaning to post this for a couple of weeks, but just haven't had time.  I would like to tell you that the party worked like a charm..... but that would just be a lie.  oh well.

We've had a bit of an issue with the number 5 recently... mostly that Nolan feels it doesn't deserve to be represented in the count to 10.  A few nights ago when he was getting ready for bed, I told him this weekend we could have a "5" party.  He was very excited about it.  Then yesterday he came down with a stomach bug.  After a very long night he woke up asking about the party, so we found things around the house for a party.  We found 5 baseballs, oranges, cars, book, cupcakes, and a few other things.  We made a few decorations and this is what we came up with....

Vroom... vroom.....

I saw this on pinterest a while back and today seemed like a great day for it.  Even though he is running a fever and has a terrible cough, he loved it!

Sick Day

Splash Day with Daddy

Who knew running through the sprinklers could be so much fun?!?

Big Boy School

Nolan had his first day of school in his new class!  We have been talking about this for a while and he has gone for several visits to the new class and to visit Ms. Candice (his new teacher).  I was a little nervous the first day, but not Nolan.  We walked in and saw one of his friends that was going to be in a different class.  We said hi and Nolan asked where they were going and I told him that she was going to be in a different class and he said "ohh".  We walked a little further and saw his old teacher.  She hugged him and we talked for a minute and he said "Nali has new babies".  I said, "Yes, Ms. Nali has new babies".... then I started to tear up.  Nolan kind of looked at me like I was crazy and his teacher laughed and told me it would be ok.  We walked into the new class and he saw his friend Whitt and they started playing like it was any other day.  I put up his stuff and his teacher asked if he wanted to go to the "goodbye" window to tell me bye.  He looked at her with a kind of puzzled look and kept on playing.  I guess we will both be fine.

Too Fast!

My sweet boy is growing up too fast!  Last Thursday was his last day in his infant/toddler class room.  I am super sad about this because they were so good to him and to me!  When he was little and was sick so often they would rock him and love on him when I couldn't.  They always took such good care of him!  They also tollerated my craziness!  Since I had camp this week I was late to the party, which made me very sad!  All the other parents were there and we also missed the program that was completed with a performance.  Not only was I discustingly dirty when I showewd up, but I also was without presents or a camera.  Here are a couple of I phone pics from the party and his awards.
