We've been thinking about getting a pool boy... this isn't exactly what I had in mind!

Happy Fall!!!
Today we headed out to the Arboretum with Grandma to check out the fall pumpkin display. It was a cool 95 degrees. Well, it wasn't that cool, but we had a great time!
Check out our cute fall shirt from The Pink Popcicle!
They also had a petting zoo! Nolan wasn't too excited about the animals, until he got to brush their hair.
They had tons of pumpkins in really cute displays!
They also had smaller pumpkins and crafts for little ones to check out!
We were very glad we had the wagon with us!
It was a really fun day! We are ready for fall and cooler weather!

What a deal!
I was picking up a few things at the grocerey store and walked through the back to school section to see if there were any good sales and noticed this...
They turned out to be a great Labor Day activity!
Happy Labor Day!

Painting with Aunt Laura
Aunt Laura was in town this weekend to hang out with us. Nolan had such a good time playing with her! She bought him some cool new paint brushes from Lakeshore Learning. He loved them and painted her a picture for her house. I am sure it will be the centerpiece for her mantle! Thanks Aunt Laura!!!
Surgery #2
Nolan had his second surgery a couple of weeks ago. He had his tubes replaced and his adnoids removed. It went pretty well. He couldn't eat anything after midnight and I didn't want to wake him up to eat, so he had a big dinner and topped it off with ice cream.
We had a little difficulty keeping him entertained while we were waiting for surgery. At one point he crawled under the crib, so I had to take a picture. Not sure the nurses loved this...
I hope this is our last trip to the surgery center!

Art Project Gone Wrong
Nolan loves art projects. He loves gluing, coloring, and painting. So when I saw this idea I thought he would love it. Make your own sidewalk chalk paint! We picked the colors and mixed up water, food coloring, and corn starch. We went outside with our paint brushes and got started. A little paint here, a little paint there, and then even better..... a giant mess!!! He loved it and had great fun. Not sure how we are going to get the color out of the concrete... but that is a project for tomorrow!
